Edit Image Mode: Fix a Render Without Regenerating It
Upload any image and jump straight into editing - inpaint, restyle, relight, upscale - without a generation step. Entering costs zero credits.
Sometimes the render is 95% right and regenerating risks the 95% to fix the 5%. Edit Image mode exists for exactly that: upload any image — or pick one from your gallery — and you land directly in the editing action bar. No generation step first, and entering costs zero credits. We shipped it in April (see the changelog) after watching users burn credits regenerating images they already liked.
What you can do from there
- Inpaint a region. Mask the awkward corner, describe the fix, and only that region changes. The rest of the image is untouched.
- Swap the mood. Relight the same view — golden hour, overcast, night — without altering the architecture.
- Restyle materials. The brick-to-concrete test, on an image that already exists.
- Upscale for print. Take the approved frame to 2K or 4K when it graduates from working image to deliverable.
- New camera angles. Generate a different view of the same design when the client asks what it looks like from the street.
Why it matters for the workflow
Edit Image mode makes Style2AI useful on work that did not start in Style2AI. A photo of the existing site, a render from your old pipeline, a frame a consultant sent over — upload it and work on it with the same tools. It also changes the iteration math: instead of regenerate-and-pray, you converge. Keep what is right, fix what is not.
It pairs naturally with the geometry-preserving generation the platform is built on — here is why that matters against creative upscalers — and whatever you produce flows into the same project as your schedules and boards.
Grab the render you almost loved from your last project and fix the one thing. Start free on Style2AI or see plans.
